Days 5-7: Mountain Stars extend their stay in Mombasa and then travel to Nairobi in partnership with Kenya Basketball Federation #AfricaCombine2023

MEDIA ABSTRACT: Mountain Stars stayed in Mombasa for an extra day, then traveled to Nairobi where they played a game against one of the local club teams at the Nyayo National Facilities. The athletes hosted a youth basketball camp with about 50 kids in attendance. They gave out medals and a new basketball to each of the kids. Mountain Stars then gave scholarships to nine carefully selected kids and played the Kenya U19 National Team.
PROJECT DETAILS: In partnership with the Kenya Basketball Federation, hosted national coaching clinics and skills development camps with the youth National Teams; provided hundreds of much-needed clothing items and athletic shoes to the community; and delivered nine academic scholarships to five partner independent schools who have matched Mountain Stars scholarships guaranteeing life-changing education to 20 deserving students.
